Drone Inventory Scanning & Reporting

Overview

Developed a custom drone control application for warehouse inventory automation at Polytron, extending standard photo and video capabilities with QR code scanning. Built using Python and Java Android, the system generates Excel-based stock reports and is designed for API integration with the existing Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support stock opname.

Problem

Warehouse stock checking was time-consuming and required costly reach truck investments to access inventory stored at heights exceeding 7 meters.

Solution

Developed custom Python-based drone control software and a Java Android application to scan warehouse QR codes at heights exceeding 7 meters, generate Excel-based inventory reports, and enable potential API integration with the existing WMS for streamlined stock opname.
